Theatre Scholarship

Interested in theatre? We are interested in supporting you through a theatre scholarship! For students entering Roanoke College in the fall, we are able to offer awards up to $2,500 for those interested in theatre. If awarded, these scholarships may be renewed every year, pending review by the theatre arts faculty.

Requirements:

Resume- a one page resume listing the plays upon which you have worked, and in what capacity.
Statement-a short (250 word) statement that addresses your motives for making theatre and your goals pertaining to theatre at Roanoke College.
Complete a personal interview with one of the theatre faculty. If you are unable to attend in person, a Skype interview will be required.
Portfolio, Head shots, or production photos-4-6 images of your head shots, production photos, or images of your best work that demonstrates your range of technical skills. 4"x6"jpeg format, approximately 300dpi in size. Please indicate play title, place of performance, and date of creation for each piece.

Interview

For the scholarship application, we require that all students submit a portfolio, head shots or production photos. We would like 4-6 images of your head shots, production photos, or images of your best work that demonstrates your range of technical skills. Each image should be 4"x6" jpeg format, approximately 300dpi in size. Please indicate play title, place of performance, and date of creation for each piece.

To upload your images, access your student portal online at: https://enroll.roanoke.edu/apply/status. Returning users who have an account already established, may log in with their email and password. If you have forgotten your password, you may request that it be reset. Once you have accessed your portal, use the "Upload Portfolio" to upload your images.
